I've been mulling over what to do with my thrifted fabric bonanza from Goodwill. The 9 yards of upholstery fabric I already have plans for; I'm going to make a trio of matching tablecloths and some wall and table runners for my home out of it. The fringe drapery fabric will also make nice new drapes for my sewing room. That leaves these 26 yards of quilting fabric, which are mostly expensive Spoonflower digital prints.
Back in 2016 I picked up this bag of scrap fabric from a quilt show, and challenged myself to make things in order to use up all of it. It was a creative exercise mainly to get me over my dislike of the color pink due to unpleasant associations.
This is the collection of things I made from that one bag of scraps, which included a bag I still use to this day. It also got rid of my aversion to pink. So for my thrift flip project for 2023 I'm going to make as many things as I can from my Goodwill bonanza, and upcycle this lovely fabric.
