February was a great month for getting things done, both for the day job and my creative projects. I kept up with my work assignments and completed some extra small projects for work, got most of my spring cleaning finished, and made not one but two crocheted throws along with my February tote for my calendar quilting project and all the other things I made.
The two reasons I think I got all that done (and on time) was because I planned my time very well, and I'm happy, thanks to some changes I've made.
One is to stop spending so much time worrying about, well, everything. I can't do anything about the evil and darkness out there except stay in the light and refuse to allow it to poison me. I'm much happier when I create. Crochet has helped me so much this year with keeping me calm and centered, too.
I'm going to continue with the weekly mindfulness lessons from the Anna Black book I thrifted, as that's helping me sort out my thoughts, emotions and ambitions so I'm better able to find joy in every day.
One very positive thing that's happened is that my medical insurance premiums have remained at an affordable-for-me level, but in case that changes I'm saving up as much money as I can. Only four months to go until I qualify for Medicare!
