Done

As of April 29th, I finished clearing out the spare bedroom of everything.

Okay, not the white dresser that Kat wants to keep. I have no room for it anywhere else, so for now it's staying. Otherwise we took five truckloads of stuff from Kat's old apartment and her old bedroom in our home to Goodwill. I checked with her on everything first, of course, and it was really great of her to be so willing to let go of things.

The closet.

Altogether I cleaned out about twenty bins of things, plus several dozen boxes, bags and other containers. So now that the guest bedroom and the spare bedroom are done, I have to tidy up and reorganize my home office, clean out and reorganize a few closets, rent a carpet cleaner and do all the rugs, and then spring cleaning will be finished.

Fell Off the Wagon

I did cut up that plastic dollar tote to make into something stronger, but got caught up with work and set it aside. Then last night some hand-dyed silk and pretty threads called my name, and, well . . . Felt SO good to do some handwork, except my neck began hurting about an hour into it. I tried changing the way I sit and work, but it's pretty obvious that the doc is right.

Progress

My guy is back home safe, sound and exhausted. I think he just realized he's over seventy now. :) I didn't finish a sewing project while he was gone, but I did make some progress on the beach bag. I've tacked down all the fabric elements on top of the old backing fabric I quilted. Time to break out the embroidery thread box and have some fun.
