I took a big break from quilting this month to play with yarn and unwind (much needed after I finished the recycled linen quilt.) I started off November by making another winter hat out of this pretty self-striping chunky yarn I thrifted.
I also made a bunch of stitch markers out of charms I had plus some lobster-claw clasps.
Then I made a third winter hat out of thrifted baby yarn, just to see how it would turn out (I like the hat I made with the worsted weight sparkly unicorn yarn best.)
I made my very first pot scrubber out of scrubby and cotton yarns (if this works well I'll stop buying scrubbing sponges and just make my own.)
I crocheted a pair of slippers from a neat pattern that forms them out of a rectangle (but because I didn't check the orientation of then flap on the first one I made, both are right footed. So now I have to make two left footed slippers from the remaining yarn.) I made a second pair of slippers as a gift for a friend, but I forgot to take a photo before I wrapped them.
I used another of my thrifted quilt kits to make this runner for my coffee table.
I also kept up with my calendar scroll project (one more month to go to finish it!) Let's finish out 2023 with a very creative December.
