I'm now thrifting all the fabric I use for my art quilts from local shops, where I can look at the fabric in person. I love the big lots of fabric I've gotten in the past from the online auction, but sometimes I need just a little something specific for a project.
Here's a typical fabric haul from two different shops. I paid less than $10.00 for everything.
Five yards of a cute polyester print knit. I want this to practice pattern sewing before I use my expensive fabric.
Yardage from my favorite junk shop. The pink pieces are for my pink-only quilt, and the pretty floral silhouette piece will be backing for another project.
I can never resist scrap bags, especially when they're only $1.50. I'm going to use these for some one-day challenges this summer.
