After a lengthy and rather tedious process of gathering all the approvals and permits from our HOA and county, we can now replace our ancient (26-year-old) roof. The men came yesterday to leave the shingles up there. If weather permits, they will get started ripping out the old roof on Monday.
We had hoped to get this done before the start of hurricane season, but despite our efforts it took nearly two months just to get all the green lights from every freaking busy body who believes they should approve what we do with our property. Not that I'm mad, of course.
