Quilting Ready

The latest quilt top is batted, backed and pinned now. I like this particular patchwork pattern because it's easy and looks pretty in any fabric, but also because the lap-size version exactly fits my sewing table, so I don't have to pin it on the floor (the pups are still too young to stay out of my hair when I do floor pinning.)

For the backing fabric I went with a plain white Kona cotton; mainly because that's what I had on hand. :)

The quilting thread I chose was a good color for this one. It should take me three or four weeks to hand quilt.
