Our holidays are going to be very quiet. Since the virus is surging wildly we've decided not to have anyone over to the house for Christmas, even Oliver and his parents. With all the hospitals rapidly running out of beds it's just too dangerous to risk infection. I'm doing anything I can to keep the three of us isolated from other people.

I've also run out of pre-written posts for the blog, and I'm trying to write another 50k this month, so I don't know how often I'll be updating. Hang in with me.

So much talent in your family, including Edward who did a stellar job with the tree! I got a Charlie Brown tree this year.

Right now, I'm still planning on our normal Christmas which is Things 1 & 2 and sister and father in law. Both Thing 1 and sister in law work in a hospital and Jimmy's going into work every day so we'll see how it plays out.

I did see that -- it's really pretty. Did you catch Winter Joy a few days earlier? Love the restful colors in that one as well as the design.

I somehow missed it, but I'll go back and look. We were all together for Thanksgiving as well. :/

Love Means This

Invested in a couple of hand-dyed bundles from one of my favorite fabric artists. This one said "Make me into something for Valentine's Day." So I went for a quilted and embellished tote. I kept thinking about what love means to me as I worked on it. Here's the finished tote. Although I was tempted to embellish with beads and pins, I got sick and only felt well enough to do a little stitching every night. As I worked I thought about how often love seems disappointing to us, especially when it fails to live up to our expectations. But now that I've experienced love in many forms, I can say that it's made me a better person than I might have been without it. Love is a precious thing, and should be appreciated in all its forms. Wild Ride

Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds is an epic, dazzling film that hurls you into the Korean version of the afterlife while showcasing some of the most impressive special effects I've ever seen in any movie. The story begins with the death of firefighter Kim Ja-Hong (Cha Tae-hyun) who jumps out of a burning building with a child in his arms. The kid lives, but he dies at the scene.
