I'm assuming that has written in the second part should be hasn't written. Evidently I'm mentioned twice in the thread (? is that the right word?). Anyway, the reader thinks I should stop sitting on my ass and start writing books again so I can profit off the, what, two people who miss my writing?
Wait, now I have to laugh again.
Okay, done. So, how to tell the reader that I've written 57 novellas and novels and something like 100 short stories since I left traditional publishing, only I can't reveal the titles or bylines because of the non-disclosure agreements I've signed?
Yeah, too mean. Better to let them think I'm sitting on my ass. Ha.

I think it would gut me for people to think I was idle.
I did a quick search for 'what happened to Lynn Viehl' and it does look for all intents and purposes that you dropped off the Earth.
Did you write the Wikipedia page? Maybe you can update it to say you're now a ghost writer.
I did not write the Wikipedia page, as it happens. I also don't want to be on their site, and tried to have them take down the page due to all the wrong information, but they refused. That ended with me politely telling them to kiss my ass. Not going to edit their crap for them. :)
I have been upfront about being a ghost writer since I left traditional publishing, I think. Certainly I was on PBW when it was active. If I broadcast now that I'm a ghost writer every time someone thinks I'm not writing any more, then I'll be dragged into every online fight about ghost writers forever. Shiloh Walker did that to me during a ghost writer plagiarism scandal by revealing private e-mails I'd sent her answering her questions about ghost writing. She did not ask me before she did that, either. Although all I wrote in those e-mails was professional, I got a flood of hate-mail for more than two months after that.
Yeah, let them think I'm sitting on my ass. Jerks. :)
She shared private emails? I'm sorry. That's the epitome of bad grace.
Sometimes I feel like unplugging from all social media. No one plays nice anymore.
I should say in her defense that after I objected to being dragged into the mess Shiloh did apologize to me for what she did, and I accepted. Still, it was an ugly and completely unnecessary situation. I also expected better from her, especially after all I've done to help her over the years. Anyway, lesson learned.
I knew social media was turning into a virtual septic tank early on when Twitter replaced blogging. Now the world is their drain field. Sad, really.
Unfortunately in this age of electronic tomfoolery, people tend to not even read most of what's out there and after the first two words, pipe up and make comments that are so wrong...people just don't have a clue anymore. So you need to get up and get moving!! ;) Love ya
Too true. Off topic, I've been trying to e-mail you and nothing seems to be getting through -- I think it's on my end. Would you e-mail me when you get a chance?
I sent you an email :)
