Now that I'm taking weekends off (shocking, I know) my guy and I are regularly going out to some of our favorite spots to walk. We prefer outdoor spots like the Farmer's Market in Winter Garden, one of the best art/craft/food fests in Central Florida.
Typically we don't go to buy anything unless we see something special, but instead focus on walking and people watching. We also talk a lot about things (prices, food, unusual humans, and whatever else we see that catches our attention.) It's the kind of fun we have at this age, but we really enjoy it.
I'm always checking out the fresh veggies and fruit, of course.
We also like seeing all the dogs people bring, and the kids playing in the big outdoor cooling fountain.
I usually stop at The Writer's Block bookstore there now on every trip, although I don't always buy something. Is my nose getting longer?
We like looking at the architecture in Winter Garden, too. Some of the businesses and homes around town are really stunning. Even their City Hall is a gorgeous Art Deco style building.
Okay, on that trip I bought two books. Have to support indie booksellers, right? Anyway, if you're ever in the vicinity, I highly recommend a visit to this town on Saturday morning, when the market happens.
