I thrifted a small lot of yarn from ShopGoodwill.com and it arrived late in August; let's see how I did.
Good thing I'm not superstitious about the number 13, as that's how many skeins and balls of yarn came in the lot. I also got a knitting how-to book that will be very helpful for a friend who is trying to learn, a couple sets of knitting needles, and a finished piece of knitting.
The finished piece came with a handmade with love tag that the maker signed. Your knitting is very well done, Tami, and I'll see if I can find a way to incoporate it in my crochet. :)
I was mostly interested in this cotton yarn, which I need for some amigurumi projects. Tahki Cotton Classic runs about $6.99 per skein, so just those skeins are worth $34.95. I'd put the resale value of the entire lot at about $60.00. I paid $9.99 for everything. Savings: $50.01.
