Lemon Tree

Our new lemon tree seems very happy living with us. Here it is the day we brought it home.

We planted it on the edge of the side of our property so our neighbor could share the fruit.

Now it's flowering, too. According to my guy Meyer lemon trees flower and fruit all year long, so I'm looking forward to lots and lots of cooking lemons and, of course, homemade lemonade. :)

Lucky you. You're a whole zone warmer than mine.

Every January-February I have to bring in my citrus. They come back out in March, but they are getting awfully heavy to lug back and forth. I'd like to find some sort of tree protection so I can just leave them in the ground. I haven't found anything yet that's not flimsy. The search continues.

Progress

My guy is back home safe, sound and exhausted. I think he just realized he's over seventy now. :) I didn't finish a sewing project while he was gone, but I did make some progress on the beach bag. I've tacked down all the fabric elements on top of the old backing fabric I quilted. Time to break out the embroidery thread box and have some fun.

Wild Ride

Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds is an epic, dazzling film that hurls you into the Korean version of the afterlife while showcasing some of the most impressive special effects I've ever seen in any movie.
