Gifty

I need to make some gift bags for the birthdays and holidays that remain in 2022, so while I'm taking a break from the linen quilt I'm going to use some orphan patchwork blocks to build up my bag supply. This bag evolved from a block my vintage textile haul seller sent me as a little thank-you extra. I love the white and blue; it works for a guy or for the winter holidays.

I used scrap white muslin for the back, lining and straps, and embroidered the back side with some vintage perle thread from my thread haul. It's simple, but reusable, which is the whole point. Maybe this year I can skip using any paper gift wrap for the holidays. We'll see.

These are the other blocks I'll be using to make more bags. Should be fun. :)
